Expert Quantity Surveyor

Gary Uys (FAIQS, CQS), owner and founder of CPP Quantity Surveyors provides impartial and independent expert witness services for smaller-scale construction disputes, including matters before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) and similar forums.

 

As a Certified Quantity Surveyor (CQS) and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (FAIQS), Gary brings over 30 years of cost management experience across residential and small commercial projects. His role is to assist the Tribunal, not advocate for either side, by providing clear, unbiased and evidence based cost opinions.

 

He acts primarily as a Quantum Expert, preparing independent cost assessments and reports that comply with the AIQS Expert Witness Information Paper and the NCAT Expert Code of Conduct (Schedule 7, Civil and Administrative Tribunal Rules 2014) and NCAT Procedural Direction 3 (Expert Evidence).

 

His expert witness services include:

 

• Cost to complete or rectify defective and incomplete work

• Valuation of variations or disputed works

• Assessment of reasonable construction costs at the time of loss or damage

• Cost comparison and value analysis for contractual or insurance disputes

• Independent expert evidence and declarations compliant with AIQS and NCAT requirements​
